Blood Centers of America (BCA) is the largest blood supply network in the U.S., supporting, mobilizing, and advocating for the nation’s blood supply. Our 60+ independent community blood centers collect and distribute more than 5.9 million units each year—over half of the nation’s supply. The International Academies of Emergency Dispatch is the standard-setting organization for medical, fire, police, and nurse triage emergency dispatch and response services worldwide and is the leading body of emergency services dispatch experts. Our various Boards and Councils work on behalf of over 83,000 members in 60 countries—and in coordination with other influential public safety organizations—to ensure that the comprehensive system covering all aspects of emergency dispatching is safe, fast, effective, and cutting-edge. IAED protocols are used in more than 4,257 communication centers across the world in 31 languages and have been time-tested across hundreds of millions of calls for medical, fire, police, and nurse triage dispatching.

The International Association of EMS Chiefs is a professional organization dedicated to advancing excellence in emergency medical services leadership, administration, and system design. The association brings together EMS executives, EMS chiefs, healthcare professionals, government officials, educators, and industry partners to promote evidence-based practices, leadership development, public policy advocacy, and innovation in prehospital care. At the federal level, the International Association of EMS Chiefs serves as a trusted voice for EMS leadership, working directly with Congress, federal departments, and national advisory bodies to shape legislation, influence regulatory policy, and advocate for initiatives that enhance emergency medical services, disaster preparedness, workforce resilience, and equitable access to high-quality prehospital care across the United States. Its mission emphasizes professional leadership, operational excellence, and the advancement of EMS as an essential component of the public safety and healthcare systems.

Founded in 1873, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) is the world's leading organization representing fire and emergency service leaders. The IAFC provides education, leadership development, advocacy, and professional resources to help fire and EMS agencies improve service delivery, enhance public safety, and address emerging challenges facing the profession. Through conferences, training, policy initiatives, and national collaboration, the IAFC supports chief officers and emergency service leaders across career, combination, volunteer, military, industrial, and international fire departments. The IAFC EMS Section is one of the association's largest and most active sections, dedicated to advancing fire-based emergency medical services. The section serves as the voice of fire-based EMS by guiding the IAFC Board of Directors, advocating before federal agencies and national stakeholders, developing educational programs and resources, and promoting best practices in clinical care, leadership, research, and system design. The EMS Section also hosts the annual Fire-Rescue Med (FRM) Conference, the premier leadership conference for fire service EMS professionals. It works to shape the future of EMS through advocacy, industry collaboration, and professional development.

International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) is a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventing death and disability from trauma through standardized, evidence-based education and emergency trauma care. Since 1982, ITLS has trained more than 900,000 EMS practitioners, nurses, and physicians through a worldwide network of Chapters and Training Centers spanning more than 45 countries. Managed by the American College of Emergency Physicians, ITLS teaches a systematic approach to the rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and transport of the injured patient. Its courses combine classroom instruction with hands-on skills stations and realistic scenario testing to build the knowledge and confidence providers need to perform under pressure. Through this proven, internationally recognized standard of trauma care, ITLS is committed to improving patient outcomes and advancing the practice of prehospital and emergency medicine worldwide.

The McSwain Trauma Education Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to improve the treatment and outcome of the trauma patient by providing quality continuing education to those who deliver that care...from the street to the surgical suites. MTEP was started to continue the legacy of Norman E. McSwain, Jr., MD through his passions and life-long commitment to the trauma patient, continuing education and pre-hospital care.

The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) is the only national association representing the professional interests of paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders and other professionals providing prehospital and out-of-hospital emergent, urgent, or preventive medical care. NAEMT serves its members by advocating on issues that impact their ability to provide quality patient care, providing high-quality education that improves the knowledge and skills of practitioners, and supporting EMS research and innovation.

The National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) is a professional association of EMS leaders dedicated to the discovery, development, and promotion of excellence in leadership and management in EMS systems, regardless of EMS system model, organizational structure or agency affiliation. NEMSMA is an inclusive organization of EMS leaders and managers where all are welcomed regardless of organizational size, corporate structure, ownership, or philosophy.

Our coalition works hand in hand with communities, public safety agencies, hospitals, government agencies and officials and nonprofit organizations to enhance the delivery of prehospital trauma care throughout the Northeast Region. We focus on blood and blood products, but also the utility of air transport, advanced interventions, and collaboration.  We are a registered S Corporation and have applied for 510c3 status. Membership is free and open to anyone.

The Trauma Center Association of America (TCAA) is dedicated to securing the viability and sustainability of trauma centers and systems across the country. The Association’s vision would result in access to optimal trauma care for all. TCAA is where trauma center leaders turn to keep their programs financially strong, operationally effective, and nationally represented.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is a professional organization of pediatricians dedicated to promoting the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The AAP also supports pediatric healthcare professionals through education, advocacy, research, and the development of evidence-based clinical guidance.

The American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP) is a national organization dedicated to advancing emergency medicine and supporting osteopathic emergency physicians, residents, and medical students. For more than 50 years, ACOEP has provided education, CME, professional development, advocacy, research opportunities, and networking to strengthen the emergency medicine community. Through conferences, publications, online learning, and collaboration with partner organizations, ACOEP promotes excellence in patient care while advancing the practice and philosophy of osteopathic medicine.

The IAFF remains committed to strengthening the fire service and championing those who put their lives on the line every day."

The National Association of EMS Physicians® (NAEMSP®) was formed in 1984 to serve as a resource and advocate for EMS physicians and EMS professionals. Since its inception, NAEMSP® membership has grown from a handful of dedicated founders from a cross-section of the U.S., to over 2,000 physicians, paramedics, nurses, administrators, educators, researchers and key EMS personnel. As part of its ongoing commitment to improving out-of-hospital emergency medical care, the NAEMSP® promotes meetings, publications and products that connect, serve and educate its members. The Association also serves as resource and advocate of EMS-related decisions in partnership with organizations and federal agencies.

The National EMS Information System (NEMSIS) is a collaborative project that stores EMS data from U.S. states and territories in a centralized federal repository. This standardized system allows stakeholders to analyze emergency medical trends to improve patient care, resource allocation, and national healthcare policies.

The Society of Trauma Nurses (STN) is the leading professional organization representing trauma nurses across the continuum of injury care, from injury prevention and prehospital care through acute care, rehabilitation, and reintegration. STN advances optimal and equitable trauma care through education, leadership development, research, performance improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As a member of the Prehospital Blood Transfusion Coalition, STN supports evidence-based strategies that improve outcomes for injured patients.

STRAC is the designated entity to develop, implement and maintain the regional trauma and emergency healthcare system in San Antonio and South Texas.   With 22 counties, 71 EMS agencies and 68 hospitals, STRAC coordinates the largest regional prehospital whole blood system in the US, with 70+ units of LTO+WB every day on ambulances, field supervisors or helicopters.  With STRAC’s leadership, the Governor’s EMS/Trauma Advisory Council’s Prehospital Whole Blood Task Force was able to secure $10M from the Texas Legislature to roll out whole blood statewide with the goal to place at least one unit of whole blood in all 254 counties in Texas.

The Students, Residents, and Fellows Trauma Advocacy Coalition (SRFTAC) is a collaborative network of emerging physicians and healthcare professionals united by a shared commitment to improving outcomes for trauma patients. Our coalition began with a data-driven mission: analyzing large National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) databases to identify patterns of fatality distribution across the nation. Through this work, we have been able to highlight regions and populations most vulnerable to preventable deaths from hemorrhage and other trauma-related complications. Building on this foundation, we focus on translating research into actionable advocacy. By serving as consultants, we create evidence-based advocacy materials, provide education, and support policymakers, trauma systems, and prehospital providers in their efforts to expand lifesaving interventions, particularly prehospital blood product transfusion, including low-titer O whole blood.

As an entity within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the mission of the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) is to support and strengthen fire and emergency medical services (EMS) and their stakeholders in preparing for, preventing, mitigating, and responding to all hazards. USFA provides training, research, and outreach to enhance the safety of EMS personnel and their patients, and to help fire departments prepare for specialized EMS operations. The USFA National Fire and EMS Programs Division, through its EMS Branch, conducts research and develops publications on topics such as safe EMS provision, mass casualty incident management, continuity of operations, burn injury care, EMS clinician behavioral health, and prevention awareness. USFA also collects EMS response data for the U.S. Fire Service through the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS). USFA’s National Fire Academy (NFA) offers several EMS courses and integrates EMS curriculum into related areas such as Hazardous Materials, Incident Management, Health & Safety, and Fire Prevention Management. The NFA also provides specialized training and advanced management programs for middle- and senior-level fire and EMS officers, instructors, and technical professionals.

Vitalant supports prehospital transfusion through product availability, operational coordination, and collaboration with EMS agencies, trauma systems and hospital partners.
